This 1983 Toyota Pickup SR5 is a short-bed 4×4 example that was acquired by the seller in 2023 following a reported period of long-term storage and was subsequently refurbished. Noted work included rebuilding the 2.4-liter 22R inline-four, refinishing the body and frame, re-trimming the bucket seats in gray cloth, and replacing various suspension, braking, and exhaust components. Shifting is through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and the truck is also equipped with a Weber carburetor, a sliding rear window, painted tri-color stripes, manually locking front hubs, 15″ wheels, and a Kenwood stereo. This Toyota Pickup shows 184k miles and is offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.
The truck left the factory finished in Dark Gray Metallic (143) and was repainted circa 2023 with tri-tone side stripes following reported rust repair. A textured liner was applied to the underside and inner surfaces of the bed, and additional details include a sliding rear window, mud flaps, and a chrome front bumper.
Black powder-coated 15″ wheels are mounted with 235/75 Hercules Terra Trac AT X-Venture tires, and a spare is mounted to an under-chassis carrier. The truck is equipped with power steering and manually locking front hubs, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The seller states the shocks and leaf spring bushings were replaced during the refurbishment along with the brake master cylinder, calipers, rotors, drums, and pads.
The cabin was refreshed with replacement cloth trim on the bucket seats, door panels, and headliner, and sound-deadening material was fitted in the floor, headliner, and doors according to the seller. A body-color center console with an armrest, cloth liner, and charge ports houses a Kenwood stereo linked to speakers in the kick panels.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a woodgrain-accented dashboard that houses an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Additional readouts for voltage and oil pressure are mounted below the dashboard. The six-digit odometer shows 184k miles.
The 2.4-liter 22R inline-four breathes through a Weber carburetor, and it is said to have been rebuilt circa 2023, with noted work involving boring and decking the block and installing replacement pistons. The seller also reports the fuel tank was cleaned and repainted and the fuel pump and sending unit were replaced at that time. Engine warranty details are provided in the gallery.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and the seller notes the axles were rebuilt and the differentials were resealed during the refurbishment. The frame was refinished and the exhaust system was replaced.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Idaho and Washington state from the first entry in 1986.
