This 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 was modified and refurbished by ICON 4×4 of Chatsworth, California, in 2015 and was acquired by the current owner in 2020. The truck was optioned with ICON’s sport suspension package which included Fox Racing shocks and a Powertank auxiliary air system, and it is powered by a 5.7-liter Vortec V8 linked to a four-speed 4L65 automatic transmission, an Atlas dual-range transfer case, and Dynatrac axles with front and rear ARB air lockers. The exterior is powder-coated in an aluminum gray finish and features a black soft top, LED auxiliary lights, a folding windshield, a roof rack, a Warn 9.5XI winch, a receiver hitch, a back-up camera, front and rear parking sensors, power-operated side steps, and black powder-coated bumpers with a front bull bar. Inside, the front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black leather with Chilewich cloth inserts, and additional equipment includes heated front seats, a VintageAir air conditioning system, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, Focal Access speakers, and a fire extinguisher. This ICON FJ40 is now offered in Gulfport, Mississippi on dealer consignment with a battery tender, a tool kit, towing accessories, and an Alabama registration in the name of the owner’s LLC.

The replacement aluminum bodywork is finished in an aluminum gray powder-coat and features ICON FJ40 badging. The black powder-coated bumpers are fitted with a front bull bar and a rear receiver hitch, and the rear features swing-out carriers for the spare tire and a jerry can. Additional equipment includes a removable black soft top, a roof rack, a Warn 9.5XI winch, LED auxiliary lights, a back-up camera, front and rear parking sensors, Amp Research power-operated side steps, and a folding windshield.

Black 18″ ICON forged aluminum wheels are mounted with 285/65 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The truck is equipped with ICON’s sport suspension package, which features Fox Racing shocks and a Powertank auxiliary air system. Warn manually locking front hubs are fitted, and the truck is equipped with power steering. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel slotted and ventilated disc brakes with Brembo calipers actuated by a Wilwood master cylinder.

The cabin features heated front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black leather with Chilewich cloth inserts. A textured bedliner material coats the floors, and the dashboard and door panels are powder-coated to match the exterior. The center console houses a Pioneer head unit linked to Focal Access speakers, with subwoofers concealed within a pair of faux jerry cans in the cargo area. Additional equipment includes a VintageAir climate control system and a powder-coated roll bar. The driver-seat cushion upholstery was repaired in preparation for the sale. A plaque mounted adjacent to the driver-side door identifies the truck as ICON FJ40 #99.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames AutoMeter instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer with an inset 8k-rpm tachometer and a combination gauge displaying oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 12k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 5.7-liter Vortec V8 was installed by ICON during the build and is fitted with an aluminum radiator, a Volant cold-air intake, and a ceramic-coated exhaust system.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a 4L65 four-speed automatic transmission, an Atlas twin-stick dual-range transfer case, and Dynatrac front and rear axles with ARB air lockers. A textured bedliner material was applied to the underside during the build.

This truck does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
